In the early Nineties, I was working as a busboy at a big hotel downtown Toronto. There was only the one bar and it was never really that busy. Mainly it was occupied with men by themselves, married usually, on a business trip or attending a conference. You could always tell the guys that were looking for some fun. I'd had a long day travelling and went to bed late. Woke up around 10am and could hear someone in the house. I put on my robe and went downstairs to the kitchen. Back in 1987, I was obsessed with British music and television so decided I would make a trip over. Take a big backpack and travel around the country by bus and train. Stay in hostels and just do things on the cheap. After a week of travel, I ended up in a small town in the north of England.
